Save the lower East Side tee is not a gimmick but an awareness of what’s been happening for a couple of years now. Increasing rent, the dispersal of families who’ve been here for generations, along with strategic alliances with the city and private investors demolishing and making room for the affluent is real Whack!  Beautifying by way of cleaning up the community is great but we need a balance we can’t have another gentrification here.
